How it all started in the center of Jerusalem ...
Jerusalem has been a magnet for pilgrims through ages. The Holy Land is considered the Holiest point on earth for Christians. It’s the cradle of Christianity. The Place where Jesus were born, Lived, Crucified, resurrected, ascended to heaven, all Christians from all over the world comes to this land to get spiritually refreshed at the biblical sights and by following the steps of Jesus.
It all started with our grandfather in 1940 who lives in the Old City of Jerusalem, who decided to open a small souvenir shop for all the pilgrims and tourists who visits the Holy Land of Jerusalem that would love to go back home with a memory that keeps them connected to the land of Jesus.
It’s a family business that has been running for generations and will continue this mission as a Christian family in the Holy Land of Jerusalem.
Who does not love ABRAHAM ... ?
Abraham is the owner of St. George’s store, he is a very well-known person in Jerusalem, due to his kindness and generosity. All the groups and pilgrims that visits his shop from all the world can tell you that. Their smile is always on their face while doing the shopping at his shop. If you visit the Holy Land without passing by St. George’s Store, you have lost a lot. Because he’s a symbol of a real Christian living in the Holy Land of Jerusalem.
Abraham finished College De Frere Catholic school at the New Gate in the old city of Jerusalem. Every morning, before heading to school he used to escort and guide the groups from Jaffa gate to the old city, through the Via Dolorosa Street then to the church of the Holy Sepulcher. He was 12 years old when he started because he had to help his family financially due to the hard times they had. Our shop now is managed by Abraham and his wife Maya with their help of their sons Gabi, Fadi, and Hani.
